Hey friends and family! I think it’s about time that I introduce you to this amazing group of humans that the Lord has blessed me immensely with! That’s right meet my world race team!!!!
*Disclaimer I’m totally stealing a page out of Kelsey corns book since she has already written a similar blog but these girls are so cool I wanted to introduce them to all of my friends and family too!
The team name that we came up with is the Bread Breakers. Based off of Acts 2:24-27, we wanted a constant reminder of coming together in fellowship while remembering just how good Jesus is.
Recently I learned the Hebrew word koinonia. Used in the Bible as the word for fellowship, it means intimate sharing together. This incredible team I have in the Bread Breakers is absolutely a way that God is teaching me what koinonia can really look like in a kingdom centered community.
We gather together at the end of every day and share, sometimes in laugher and sometimes tears, but almost always over food! We love to eat! There is something so beautiful about sharing a meal together, especially in the sharing of communion.
Last Sunday afternoon as the sun was setting we trecked down to the beach here in Jaco. Our awesome squad leader, Cami, pulled 2 entire loaves of bread and 2 gallons of grape juice out of her backpack. She said, in all her wisdom, our “God is a God of abundance.” And there we sat together watching the waves crash, listening to worship music as Cami shared her testimony, all the while enjoying our bread and juice and remembering God’s sacrificial love for us.
It was the most beautiful and joyful communion experience. I feel so unified and safe with my sisters in Christ. Being truly committed to vulnerable, Christ centered fellowship has rocked my world. So that being said let me introduce the lovely ladies of the Bread Breakers:

What a firecracker! She brings me joy and makes me laugh. She is an inspiration with her bold and confident faith.
Cort
A mischievous prankster that is, at the same time, full to the brim with wisdom and humility. She is a wealth of talent and always genuinely herself.
Jewels
Has there ever been a more kind heart!? Wow the level of compassion and deep, true friendship this girl has flowing out of her is incredible. And can we just take a moment to admire that smile though?!?!
Kelsey Corns
Oh man what a gem! Her words are a gift and carry such power. It’s so evident that she LOVES the Lord! Truth and love spill out of her.

She is whimsically, confidentially, creativity herself. What a strong, fierce, mighty warrior for the kingdom! Her sense of fashion is almost as incredible as her compassionate heart for others.
Cami
Our squad leader and honorary Bread Breaker member! Where to even start? I don’t know that there are words to say what a high level of admiration and respect I have for her. She so freely gives of her time and wisdom. She is patient, caries peace into a room with her, genuinely loving, and has a laughter that brings the joy! The fruit of the spirit is all over her life.
Thanks sisters for being faithful to the Lord and radically changing my life just in month one! Here’s to the rest of the year!!!

What a thrill for your Grandpa and me to sit side by side on the sofa, with tears streaming down out cheeks as we meet your beautiful Bread Breakers! As you broke the bread, you had to see you dropped some “crumbs”! That’s what you’re doing for Christ…you are leaving a path of crumbs that will feed more people than you can know.
