If you close your eyes and image a barn what do you think of? Do you think of a nice, clean, rustic wedding venue? Or do you think of a smelly, dirty, minuaer filled shack?
It’s crazy to me that the later is the setting of our saviors birth. Picture that. Immerse yourself into that environment. The smells, the noise, the dirt! It got me thinking about Jesus being born into a mess. Yes, He was born into the gross, dirty physical mess but, even more wild to me is the fact that He chose to step into the mess of our sin. He chose to take on the mess of our sin on the cross.
Thank you Jesus for not turning away from my mess.
